Towing Capability Estimates

GMC Sierra HD trucks have been industry leaders in terms of towing performance. That tradition is being carried on by the 2024 Sierra HD. Davis Chevrolet customers can expect the two 2024 Sierra HD models to be able to pull:

  • 2500 Crew Cab: 10,010 kg (22,070 lbs.)
  • 3500: 16,329 kg (36,000 lbs.), when properly equipped

Payload Capacity Estimates

As impressive as the 2024 Sierra HD is on the towing front, it’s just as impressive when it comes to hauling payload. The 2024 Sierra 2500HD can haul up to 1,895 kg (4,178 lbs.) in its cargo bed. Customers choosing the 2024 Sierra 3500HD can find a payload rating of up to 3,307 kg (7,290 lbs.).

Updated Powertrain Options

All of this capability wouldn’t be possible without an enhanced powertrain. A newly available 6.6-litre Duramax turbocharged diesel engine will be attached to an Allison® 10-speed automatic transmission. It will produce 470 horsepower and an impressive 975 pound-feet of torque, the latter representing a 25 percent increase over the 2023 model.
