Nunweiler Brings Fresh Approach to Working With Customers

Staff Spotlight: Corbin Nunweiler
Cobrin Nunweiler is among the latest additions to the sales team at Davis Chevrolet. While he carries the title of Sales Manager, Nunweiler approaches his daily duties with a different outlook. His approach to the job is not to simply move metal out the door, Nunweiler wants to guide people to the right products by building a rapport with everyone who walks into the showroom. “I’m more than just a salesman,” Nunweiler said. “I’m a concierge. I’m a friendly face helping someone find their next ride rather than sell them their next ride.”
The path to automotive sales can be vastly different for everyone who finds their way to dealerships like Davis Chevrolet. Nunweiler’s path really began shortly after leaving high school and beginning a job working with his father at an automotive auction house. That gig is still selling cars, trucks and SUVs, though it is selling to a different kind of client.
“I got some sales experience through the auction house, which got me some sales experience,” Nunweiler said. “However, the auction side was growing the business, making cold calls to customers.”
While Nunweiler had experience matching people with cars, working in a retail environment still presented some challenges that needed to be overcome.
“It has been such a learning curve,” Nunweiler said. “If I would look back on the first day, I’d tell myself not to stress so much — get out of my head. Selling shouldn’t be so stressful.”
Working with customers isn’t the only thing that occupies Nunweiler’s time, he is also a self-described “outdoorsy guy.” He counts going into the mountains and skiing among his favourite hobbies.
“I like to bring people together,” Nunweiler said. “The more, the merrier, I always say.”
