Performance

Engine Menu

GMC has included three reliable and stout engine options to Yukon buyers. A 5.3-litre V-8 engine makes 355 horsepower; the 6.2-litre, V-8 produces 420 horsepower and the available turbo-diesel powerplant can make up to 495 pound-feet of torque and 305 horsepower. A turbocharged V-6 is used by the Expedition that tops out at 400 horsepower.

Towing Capacity

Stout performance is really what sets the Yukon family apart from the imitators. When properly equipped, the 2025 Yukon can tow up to 3,719 kg, more than enough for small boats and most ATVs. The 2025 Expedition does have a slightly higher towing capacity, but only by a few hundred kilograms.

Design

Passenger Comfort

Both SUVs offer three rows of seats with room for up to eight passengers, depending on how the interior is outfitted. However, the 2025 Yukon makes a strong case for offering more refined interior options with available premium leather upholstery and folding second row captain’s chairs.

Rugged Exterior Features

The 2025 Yukon picked up a few new exterior features for the model year. Shoppers may notice new front and rear fascia elements featuring Vader Chrome accents on some trims. On the other hand, the 2025 Expedition requires some premium choices to match these elements.
