AVAILABLE WATTS TO FREEDOM

The ultimate expression of that performance will be delivered in HUMMER EV’s available launch control mode, known as Watts to Freedom1. This driver-selectable feature channels the propulsion system’s tremendous power into []acceleration bursts — including GM-estimated up to 0-60 mph (0-97km/h) in approximately 3 seconds. “Watts to Freedom unlocks the full potential of the propulsion system and puts all of its available power to the pavement" - Al Oppenheiser, chief engineer. As the vehicle readies itself for Watts to Freedom, a series of interiors experiences convey the feeling of a “pre-launch countdown,” including interactive controls, unique sounds through the Bose speakers, and screen animations. The vehicle also lowers two inches to prepare for the launch, utilizing a lower centre of gravity.
